Prayer Team Covenant

Purpose

We, as members of this prayer team, covenant to support and encourage one another in prayer to pursue a more intimate relationship with God and to serve His Kingdom effectively.

Commitment

We commit to the following:

  • Prayer Discipline:
    • Prioritize daily personal prayer and meditation.
    • Attend regular team prayer meetings and engage actively in intercessory prayer.
  • Confidentiality:
    • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the prayer requests and needs shared within the team.
    • Use discretion and sensitivity when discussing prayer matters with others.
  • Accountability:
    • Be accountable to God and to one another for our prayer life and commitment to the team.
    • Provide support and encouragement to team members who may be facing challenges in prayer.
  • Unity:
    • Seek to build unity and harmony within the team.
    • Respect and support each other's prayer styles and perspectives.
    • Work together to create an atmosphere conducive to prayer and spiritual growth.
  • Discretion:
    • Use discernment and wisdom when sharing prayer requests or needs with others outside the team.
    • Seek guidance from God and team leaders before making decisions that may impact the team's objectives.
  • Flexibility:
    • Be open to adapting and adjusting our prayer strategies and methodologies as needed.
    • Embrace opportunities for growth and improvement in our prayer life.
  • Support and Encouragement:
    • Encourage and support one another in times of spiritual dryness or discouragement.
    • Celebrate victories and offer prayers of thanksgiving together.

Responsibilities

As team members, we are responsible for:

  • Maintaining regular communication and attendance at team meetings.
  • Preparing for prayer meetings by studying the Word of God and seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit.
  • Sharing prayer requests and needs within the team and seeking support from other members.
  • Participating actively in prayer, listening to others, and interceding on their behalf.
  • Respecting and honoring the opinions and perspectives of others during prayer meetings.
  • Being sensitive to the needs of the team and assisting with tasks as assigned.

Duration

This covenant shall remain in effect for as long as we are members of this prayer team.
